Yesterday I visited the Tannehill wild woodland that I will discuss in my October Lunchtime Lecture about the natural history of a vacant lot, and I discovered that our Parks and Recreation Department has bulldozed and shredded its way through the edge of the woods for construction of a hiking trail. Change comes to the woodlands once more.
Now we will get to monitor the transition from this site being urban wild woodland to it being perceived as park land...
